Vanquish ME Versus Liposuction
Vanquish ME and liposuction / Smart Lipo are common options that patients interested in fat removal and body contouring may consider. While the goals of each procedure are the same, that is where the similarities end. Vanquish ME represents the next generation of fat cell elimination with far fewer side effects than Lipo and even many other noninvasive contouring procedures.
Following we will discuss the main benefits and differences between Vanquish Me and liposuction:
Cost Considerations
Many patients will be concerned with the cost of the procedure. Depending on how extensive the fat elimination, Vanquish ME is typically between hundreds and even thousands less than the average liposuction. If the area being treated is very large, cost savings maybe even greater as the Vanquish ME treatment area spans from flank to flank in the abdomen. In other words, the treatment area is large. There is also the intangible value of your time. Since Vanquish ME can, quite literally, be performed in one hour or so, during lunch hour. With very little downtime, patients do not have to miss work or take time off for their procedure, unlike liposuction, which can require several days for a full recovery.
Time Needed
Liposuction is usually performed in one session per area and up to 11 pounds of fat can be removed from the body. While most people opt to have a less drastic liposuction procedure, it offers the potential for greater fat removal. Vanquish ME on the other hand requires several visits to achieve similar results. While on the surface this may give the advantage to liposuction, it is important to remember where these procedures are being performed, how long they take, their risks and downtime needed. Liposuction is a surgical procedure that requires both prep for surgery as well as downtime and recovery after the procedure. Vanquish ME on the other hand, requires about 45 minutes, no anesthesia and very few, if any, limitations after treatment.
Safety
Both Vanquish ME and liposuction are safe procedures when performed by experienced clinicians on healthy patients. However, liposuction has inherent risks that are associated with surgery, no matter how small its incisions. Beyond the risk of infection, there is also the possibility of pain, bleeding and reaction to anesthesia. Vanquish ME requires no contact at all, no sedation and other than the possibility for tenderness or redness for about a week after the procedure, there are essentially no significant risks.
Results
Liposuction and Vanquish ME both have excellent track records eliminating fat in the abdomen and thighs. Patients will see the results of their liposuction immediately despite the bruising and swelling. This is normal and will dissipate over the course of a few weeks. Vanquish ME patients will begin to see their results within about three weeks as the body flushes away the destroyed fat cells. One of the primary advantages of Vanquish ME over both liposuction and spot treatment is the size of the treatment area, which offers uniform results in fewer sessions. There is the potential for lumpy or uneven results during the liposuction if too much or too little fat is removed from treated areas.
What’s best for me?
As with any medical procedure, the answer is that it depends on your priorities. If you’re looking to remove a significant amount of fat very quickly, liposuction may be the right option for you. However, Vanquish ME excels in almost every feature – from cost, to safety, to results to the time and effort needed to undergo the procedure.
